Aren’t people too quick to dismiss our challenges and setbacks as mere excuses? It seems they’ve prepared their entire life to tell you that “these obstacles don’t hold you back unless you hold yourself back.” They call our challenges a rationalization for all the bold steps that we couldn’t bring ourselves to take. They argue that others have faced even greater challenges, yet they persevered because they refused to be confined by them.
But today, I want to apologize on behalf of all those who made you feel like your limitations were imaginary.
Because here’s the truth: yes, you are the one who ultimately takes the step forward and breaks free. But in order to do that, you also need to acknowledge the restrictions that have held you back. You can’t escape a cage without recognizing it for what it is. Your challenges are not a distortion of reality; they are proof that you have endured through difficult times. And something that people fail to tell you is that with a little more resilience, you won’t just survive through life – you will bloom and thrive.
