Influencing Mental Wellness: To Those Who Make a Difference
Let’s talk about people who influence your perspective on well-being and appreciate them a little. Personally, no one has had a greater impact on my well-being perspective than my therapist. And I have been to many professionals over the years, experimented time and again, because finding your right fit is not just a factor restricted to romantic relationships.
And therapy is not just about moving your ass to a comfortable chair, in a cubicle-sized office, where you can finally cry about all the of the things in life that just don’t make sense. I mean, yes – you can release your emotions and frustrations; but that won’t sum up your experience. It’s got to be more than that, right?
After years of getting temporary and repetitive guidance, I eventually met someone who genuinely invested effort into showing me the correct way to reflect within and taught me ways in which I could be independent enough to think along a certain band. And the best thing she did was teach me how to stick by that train of thought every time that I felt like life has staged a challenge in my way. That’s how I evolved and found the courage to pursue so many things in life.
Whom do you want to thank for influencing your perspective on mental well-being?
